The Royal Opera House Bridge originally started the project as a pilot in 2014. The aim was to inspire and encourage young people to make films and animations across four counties in England. Rob and Sam have since grown the project to become an annual competition with a new theme each year.

Aims

Our aim is to create a sustainable project that encourages young people to make films and animations.  Our industry suffers from a lack of diversity. We want to help by breaking down gender, ethnic, social and geographical barriers that can prevent young people from entering the industry.

Sponsors

The competition currently relies on sponsorship. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities please get in touch.

Award Winning Project

The competition won a Gold trophy at the MarCom Awards. We also won a Commercial Business in the Community Award at the Hertfordshire Business Awards.

'Herts Business Awards' logo“Elstree Film Design’s approach as practitioners, rather than educators, resonates well with people who in turn have gone on to achieve so much more than they might otherwise have intended.  The business is also helping to create significant income generating opportunities. Through the use of new technology for young people and helping to develop vital transferable skills that are not always taught in schools.”
